Hi Everyone! Well I am here in Florida trying to keep busy. I made a card for my Grand daughter's 11th Birthday. If I had been smart I would have scanned it. Well I didn't so you won't see it. In making her card, I realized all the stamping stuff I forgot to bring with me. #1. A biggie, left most of my ink pads at home. I had dropped a few in a different bag so I had 4 or 6 distresss pads Of course 4 were different blues.) I did find a momento black in my class hold all bag. Then I thought I would make a card using a cricut cartridge. I picked out what cartridge and design I wanted. Guess what I didnt bring a cord to plug the machine in! Needless to say, I wasn't pleased with myself. Remembering what the cord looked like,I knew I had something like that here. My Laptop cord, I tried it and it worked well I was going to make some Christmas cards while we were here to send out. I might have to buy a few stamp pads. What I have is not going to bail me out. I hope you enjoyed the card class yesterday. I saw the cards posted on Mary Jo's blogsite. I thought they were great! If you havn't visited the site ,please due so. I so appreciate the girls taking over for me while I am gone. Until next time, God Bless You and take care! Laura

Here it is another week. Guess what? I don't have my cards ready yet. I hope to soon. I wanted to share with you a video that my niece Pam Loris made. Actually she has 5 days of videos using punch art. I wanted to post at least one of them and you can go to her website and watch the others. She is a Independent Stampin Up Demonstrator. I am proud of her and she is so talented. To go to her site you need to go to Wearestampers.com I thought how she makes these bunch of bananas is so clever. She has a too cute lion, birdie and a goldfish I would love you to see. I hope you enjoy them as much as I did. I hope to get back to you soon with my card postings.

Here it is Sat.late afternoon. I really think we have gremlins in our house. I have looking for the power cord to our printer so I could scan my cards. I have been looking for it at least 2-3 hrs. Now why would the power cord to my printer disappear? Anyway after figuring out what it should like, I found it in a drawer next to the desk. Tom says he didn't take it off. I am certain I didn't take it off. It has got to be the Gremlins. How else would one explain this. Happens all the time here.
Any way I got my cards scanned and hope to post them. I only have one busy card, its a pop up. I just had to try this in a class. I worked on it off and on for three days, figuring how to make work I hope it isn't to much of a problem for you! Well here they are. I forgot that once I post them, they always come up at the beginning. Oh well!

HELLO At the end of my last post, I thought---I wonder if I can post a video, and I did! Could I do it again? Who knows. I thought it would post at the end of what I wrote, but it came up first. I subscribe to Catherine Pooler's newsletter. Doing so I get emails and lots of card ideas. I didn't join her Stamp Nation because I didn't want to pay the monthly fee. I am sure one gets a lot of ideas from being a member, I choose not to. At the end of her videos, there is always more videos to see. I get a lot of my ideas from her and I just go the free method. If you never viewed her videos, you must try it. Check out the one I sent to the end and then click on more. I think you will enjoy! See you this coming Tuesday. Oh and be looking for my cards post. It's that time again! Here are the cards we will be making on Wed. I have 2 pieces to cut out from one card, then I should be done.
I hope all of you had a special 4th of July weekend. I got to watch 3 grandchildren Sat. afternoon. We had indoor cookout picnic. I cooked hot dogs on a fire outside, made a pasta salad, bake beans, and a fruit salad. Almost as good as having a real picnic. Tom finally got to go fishing at Charles Mill Lake with our oldest daughter Barb and our son Steve on Sunday. They went in the early evening and got caught up with all the people going to the fireworks there. Of course they enjoyed the fireworks. Tom only caught 1 fish.
I enjoyed being home by myself and working on my cards.
See you Wednesday!

Hi again! I tried posting last night but with out success. We must replace this old computer. Going has been slow as usual for me. I have gotten involved in to many home projects. That would be a good thing if I was finished with them. I still have a bit of cutting out to do on my cards. Hope to be finished today. I hope you will like making these cards.

I am back again. I tried posting on my laptop and when I got to where I wanted to post my cards, I couldn't find them again. Now I am on our old computer and I will try to see if I can find here. Wish me luck.
Well I did find them . I don't know why it won't recognize them on my laptop. I can't print from that computer anymore either. For you who don't like to color, sorry, we have one. I have the pieces to some to cut yet. Hoping to get that done in the morning. I need to be ready tomorrow for sure, I have a Doctors reg. check up Wed. morning. Why did I do that, beats me! See you soon, Laura

I have been working on my cards for next week and have 4 created, 3 of which are cut out for you and ready to go, and one needs some parts. I decided to post them early . Surprised? We will be going away this weekend to my grand daughter's First communion in Cincinnati. I wanted to be ready before we left.
Now those of you who don't like to color , don't panic. This last card is using a brayer and sponging on to embossing folder. Then it is run through the Cuttlebug.
The tulips card is just using stamping up's 2 step layering.
The other bird card is stamped, embossed with a folder I have never used before. Love it! and the just a wee bit of water brush coloring using ink pads.
Of course the very first card shown has no coloring only from the paper and stamping. It is a center fold card . I got the idea today watching a video, just a little twist to how it opens and closes.
I am hoping for a big crowd next Wed. Just wishful thinking. In the mean time take care, God Bless you!

Then classes in May will be all mine. I will make a schedule for you and the store soon. My first class in May will May 14th 1:30-4pm and 5-7:30pm. I am looking forward to seeing you all again.
I am excited, this Sat. I will be going to Akron with Mary Jo to see this years Stamping Expo/Convention. I have forgotten what its real name is. Hope to get a lot of ideas and maybe buy a few things, Take care and God Bless you, Laura

One of the other cards we did was an never ending card. You probably have seen this before. From the first card you see when opened, it will open to the next. Open that, you will see the next and so on till you are back to the first again. I never did this at a class before. Although I did try this before at home some time ago. Too much work to do at a class I found..

Outside & Inside
These are this past week cards. I didn't get post them before class. What do you think. No one posted on my previous post, probably cause no one is looking. I hope all is going well with all of you. We are fine here, and very much enjoying the lack of snow and cold. You are welcome to come and visit. On March 23rd, I am hoping to go to a sale in Lakeland at a store called Violettes Scrapbook and Stamp Store. Linda told me about this, customers set up tables with stamp and stuff they want to sell. She said there are almost too many to see and reasonably priced. Good reason to come visit. Miss all of you, take care, Laura

Hello again Dear Friends!
/These were the cards done at my workshop today. Everyone was pleased with them. Had 7 come to the class. The Butterfly card was inspired from a card Linda Shuffert sent me this week. Of course I could'nt do it completely like hers. Didn't have embossing powder, same paper but it is similar. Thanks Linda for the beautiful card. I hope you didn't mind my copying it.
A friend here, who came to my card classes ever since I started them here and usually sat next to me in our Art class passed away a week ago last Sunday. She was a very talented crafter, retired school teacher and was only 62 yrs old.. She will be missed!
My love to all of you. Laura
