I am trying!

I thought I would try to scan my cards we will be making this Wed.  So far I haven't been able to scan them and then send them to this site.  My old problem seems to still exist.  I will keep trying though.  If you never see them you will see that I wasn't able.

I am back from Florida!

Hi Everyone!  I am back and I hope this makes you happy.  I will be starting  Card classes again at Hobby Lobby on May 10th.  Times:  1:00-3:30PM AND 5:00-7:30pm  Cost will still be $5 to make 4 cards.  Please call or sign up in advance so I can be prepared.  Please don't assume that since you come to almost every class that I am expecting you.  It is hard to say NO if you show up.  I upset someone last year and it made me very uncomfortable and sad.  Well so much for that.  I missed all oe you and am looking forward to seeing you again.

My printer is not cooperating!

Hi,  I know that some of you check my website to see what cards we are making.  Sorry!  I can not get this printer/scanner to scan my cards.  I have tried for my last card class and again for this coming class but no luck.  I guess I am going to have to learn how to take pictures and learn how to get them to my website.  I will eventually try to learn this but not tonight.  Looking forward to seeing all of you tomorrow.  Take card and God Bless you,  Laura

Sept 7, 2016 card class

Hi  Everyone!  I DO HAVE PICTURES TO POST FOR TOMORROWS CARD CLASS.  My problem,  I still have more pieces and parts to cut.  I spent time I thought making my 4th card but now I see I had made a 5th one.  It is another
Christmas card.  I will show it to you tomorrow.  We will probably make it at our class on Sept 21st.

I got excited today cause my Stampin Up order came this morning  Of course I had to check everything out (wasting time).  I did use one of the die sets to make a card.  That's probably why I forgot I had made a Christmas card.  The good news is I am one ahead for the next class!  See you soon!  Laura

Hi All,  I am finally getting the chance to get these posted..We have been busy trying to get our living room after having had the floor refinished.  It has been a challenge as we cant't drag things and each piece need something under it foe awhile so the furniture won't leave dents in the floor.  Fun, fun, fun
Lets see if I can get them posted,  We do have 1 more  Christmas in July   I really can't totally remember the rest till I bring them up.  How sad.

I am early!

Hello everyone,  Can you believe I am posting my cards already.  They are created but I don't have all the parts and pieces cut out.  I decided to do a Christmas in July card.  I can't remember if if we did the card before but this one has a different technique to it.  If you click on the card you should get a larger view and you may see the detail better.  A few of you recently purchased the Wetlands stamp set so I made another card using the set.  The fish card uses clear acetate with a embossing folder but using a brayer and a white ink on one side.  The red card uses a border punch on both sides leaving both panels open on the front of the card.  I hope you will like them.  I am looking forward to seeing you this coming wed.  Take care and may God continue to Bless you!  Laura

Better late than never!

I tried this earlier and ran into some of my usual problems,  Had to leave to see my grandson's baseball game.  They lost by the way.  I have a busy time lately, working still on removing living room carpet still.  It is out of there now but now I have to figure when and how we can refinish the hardwood floors that was under.  Finally had to stop so I could work on my cards in between grandchildren's ball games.  Here's trying to post my cards.

By golly,  I think I may have got this time.  Wish me luck  Oh by the way the wedding card I had hoped to post the inside of it.  I took a picture of it for you to see but I not certain I can figure out how to get from my camera to the computer.  Right now don't have time to fiddle with it.  We are meeting with some of Tom's classmates for supper and I have lots to do before then.  See you tomorrow!

 I didn't scan the wedding one.  As you can see I scanned the anniversary one,  It is not a square card either.  It's 4X5 1/2ins.

My second attempt!

This is my second try at this.  I am sure this brain of mine is hopeless.  I thought I sent my first post, but I didn't.  The first time I forgot my password to get on my site.  I had to change it the last time I posted.  I did write it down somewhere.  Your laughing again I can tell.  My other problem is I can't get my cards scanned to the computer.  Does that sound familiar? I  tried a second time with no luck.  If I can't get them scanned to the computer, I can't post them on my site!  Anyway I had to tell you this on the post I never sent and now it disappeared.  It may be out there somewhere in cyber space waiting for me to retrieve it. I will try to find time again tomorrow.  I still have my last card pieces to get cut and ready.  Have a good nights sleep! Laura

Hi All,  This is my third attempt at posting these cards.  For some reason I get so far and then whatever I  hit erases everything I have done.  As you see it did something now.  Some of the cards I am doing have been inspired om Pinterest.  I did make a few changes.  My thanks to those who had originally post them...  I am sorry that I don't have your names. I tried again to post my May 4th cards.  I thought I did it but I forgot to hit publish.  Here I go again!

Hi Girls,  I am sorry for not getting cards posted..  I have been trying but to no avail.  I realized this afternoon that I haven't tried this on the new computer we got for Christmas from our kids.  They have not taken the old info from our other computer and transferred it to the new.  Now whether this would make a difference, I don't know. Another ORO card post

Hi all!  Have been busy and a bit lazy I never got to make Jean's cards last week.  Have had company last week and again now this week  Kristina,Jane, Kate and Finn are visiting this week..  It's fun to have family here!  Kris is my daughter-in-law, Matt's wife.  The kids are grandchildren of course but only 3 of there 5could come.  We picked them up at the airport last night late.  The plan was delayed 4 times from taking off due to severe storms  Our daughter Kristin and grand daughters Jillian and Juliet were  here the week before for just a few days.  I know you are wondering when Tom and I will be back. More  than likely will be leaving mid week next week.
Anyway here are my 2 cards I made and taught.  Will send Jean's when or if I get them.

Cut the bunny out from my cricut Create a critter2, used wiggly eyes  My other card was a similar version of a card Mary Jo or  Karen made using vellum.  I was running out of time and ideas to come out with one of my own!

Jean's cards for March 8th.

I am finally back to post Jean's card from this week class.  We just had 7 in the class this week.  Lots of people heading home.  Our class 3/22/2016 will be the last we hold this spring.  I believe Jean will be leaving shortly thereafter.  As usual her cards are nice and crisp looking and usually she makes bigger cards.  I love these!

Another Class

It's time again to send you another post.  Has time been going fast for you too?   The weather has been beautiful here.  I wonder  if the saying ''If March comes in like a lamb, it will go out like lion.'' applies to Florida too!  How did your March come in?

I am sending pictures from my 2 cards.  One was inspired by Linda Schuffert.  She sent me a very similar birthday card.  I loved it.  I used blue card stock instead of white.  I used an embossing folder, colored the raised areas with colored chalks using Q-tips.  My second card was inspired by a card I saw on Pinterest.  Using a stamp and cutting die from the SU set  called Rose Wonder and a Die from Rose Garden Thinlets Dies.  First I made 2 similar cards which I liked but decided to it differently,  I used the fern die and cut it out times 2, then backed it with the green card stock.  I had cut several ferns out for my other cards. I used them as a inset to the cut out ferns space.  The background was made using a stencil and sponging green over the stencil.  If you like it, we will try it Hobby Lobby.

Here I am again, finally getting to post the cards we did here Feb 22nd.  I didn't get to see Jeans cards till the day of the class.  Poor Jean came down with bad cough and cold.  She felt she had bronchitis.  She called me in the morning and said she wasn't up to getting to class that day.  There were 12 at the class and I did it without her.  Boy I am out practice holding a class all by myself.  I was so tired when we finally finished.  I am not certain if I want to do classes when we get home if I have to hold them by myself.  Maybe I can create the cards and maybe have them ready but doing it by myself?  I will have to think about that.
Anyway on a better note, I will see if I can get these posted.  My 2 cards will be the first 2 and Jeans the second 2.  

Valentine cards I made today

I made 2 cards today and one for my friend Jean and one for Tom.  I wanted to share them.

 The top one is for Tom's
