Happy Thanksgiving!

Dear Friends,  I hope your day was special.  It was a beautiful day here. 
We had dinner here at our resort at the club house.  Turkey, dressing, mashed potatoes, & gravy was provided.  Everyone attending brought a covered dish.  There was a feast of food.  I made 2 pumpkin pies and cranberry salad.  My family all came into Mansfield to spend Thanksgiving together at my oldest daughter Barb's house.  I really missed being with family,  they say the first year is the hardest.
     I held a card workshop this past Tuesday.  3 of the 4 came back this week, one went home to NJ and wont be back till sometime in Jan.   I will have a new attendee at my next workshop, but will only have 2 coming unless more sign up before then.  I think after the first of the year when more snowbirds arrive there should be more in attendence.  I do miss all of you, my dear friends.  I am having a hard time getting back in the swing of things.  I am thankfull right now for the small attendance.  I almost wasn't ready for that class.  I hope you are enjoying Mary Jo's workshops.  Please support her if you can.  I would love to see any cards made.  Take care and God bless you!

Oh by the way,  I  had a free make-it-take yesterday to introduce my card making class here at the park.  My first class will be next Tuesday.  I know of 3 who will be attending.  They had never stamped before and do not want at this time to buy any supplies.  So they will pay another $1 to use my supplies.  Hopefully I can get more to come! 

Hello

I have 2 cards to share.  One is a download that my neice had on facebook.  I thought the little girl is so cute.  I colored her in with my bic markers and a copic color, also used a copic blender.  I dont know if you can see the dots on her shirt.  I made dots with the copic blender.  Also the Christmas card was an idea I saw somewhere so I applied to my my stamps and colors.  I hope all is well with all of you.  It you see the other girls would you tell them I am making an occasional post of this site.  I know Pam has viewed the site.  Anyone else?    I had a problem finding where my scan of my cards went.  will try later.

Here is a few cards I have made.  I never have tried this on my laptop so this is sort of a test.  I hope all is well.  It is great here.  Well I didnt line them up well on the scanner but I did manage to get them posted. 

Surprise!

Just because  I am in florida there is no reason I cant post something.  I have all my stamp stuff organized and put away.  I might just work on making some cards today.  Yesterday we bought 2 palm trees for our yard.  tom has been busy keeping our small yard cleaned.  The trees probably will be planted today.  I started this letter yesterday and finishing it Wed (today).  Hope this finds you all well and happy!

Hi!

Well today, I was trying to figure out what stamping stuff to bring to Florida.  I am not sure how much room we will have and I have packed a lot of stuff and still not done. Still need to pick out my Cuttlebug embossing folder to bring.  Did figure out what cutting dies I wanted to bring.  I have no idea where I can store it in our 1 bedroom home.  I am getting excited about going but will we be ready to leave Sunday morning, time will tell.  Will try to get back on here one more time before we go.  Maybe I can take a picture of my pile. Talk to you later and I will email you my address.

Cards we will be making on Wed. Oct 2nd.

Hi Everyone,  I am almost ready for the class Wed.  I hope to see you there.  Remember this will be my last class till I come back in the Spring.  Mary Jo is excited to be taking over the evening class on the 19th at 5:30-7:30pm.  Until I get back, there will be no day time class, unless someone wants to take over.  You could do it at a different time or day if you want.  I know some won't becoming to evening class when it is to dark to drive.  Anyone interested in doing once a month, how and when you do the class is up to you except it would need to cleared with Cindy at HL to make sure there is not a conflict in time.  Well need to get back to my preparations, 2 more cards to cut out.  See you soon!  Laura
